I thought it would be quite fitting to finally share this amazing birth story right before Christmas! I can only imagine what it would have been like to witness such an awe inspiring moment, Christ's birth. But I feel I did see a bit of heaven the day that little Cooper came into this world welcomed by a loving family of his own :)
Claire and Wayne, thank you again for allowing me to be there for such a precious moment in your life's! You are amazing parents and both of your boys are adorable!
*This is a Birth Story... and although it won't show any "parts" it's still what it is... so look if you want to or don't if you don't, but really its something completely worth it! Also, there will be a million pictures just so you know! :)
Claire and Wayne had a scheduled induction on Oct. 14, 2010 and checked in around 12:30 that afternoon...
Last non-hospital gown pregnancy picture!
Me and the mama :)
See this nurse... she is studying to be a dula and she was AWESOME!! She knew some reflexology to help with Claire's contractions and it totally got them going! hmmm... foot rub or pitocin?! I think I will take the foot rub! I am totally calling her with my next baby!
see here's the monitor to prove it! those happened during the massage! :)
Its about this time that things started to get a little more tough! but Claire was perfect! She really looked beautiful I think...
At 4:00 the contractions were getting pretty intense! She was still breathing through them.
4:40 Getting some relief with an epidural :)
Little did we know that things were about to start happening... and quickly!!!
And here he is!!!!
The craziest part about this whole day, was that I had another session I had to be to at 5:30 that day!! And little Cooper was born just in time for me to not miss anything that day! I came back to the hospital after my shoot to catch the first bath and big brother meeting him for the first time!
All sweet and clean!!! Congrats again you two! He's perfect!!
And now for a few of my favorites from his newborn session :)
